I need to cancel a subscription from Epoch.com

You may cancel a subscription billed by Epoch at any time.  It's easy to do so online or by calling our customer service department.

To cancel a subscription, click here.

Here are some frequently asked questions about subscription memberships:

If I cancel my subscription will my access to the website immediately expire?
Canceling a subscription will not immediately remove your access to the webpage. Regardless of what time you cancel, you will still have access to the site until the end of the most recent term that has been paid for.

I canceled my subscription but was still charged. What should I do?
If you have an email from Epoch Billing Support or the webmaster of the site verifying your subscription was canceled prior to any charges you are disputing, please forward it to billingsupport@epoch.com. We will be more than happy to resolve this issue by crediting your account for any transactions that might have been made in error.

How do I determine my member identification number?

Your member identification number is provided to you in a confirmation email which is sent immediately after your successful subscription purchase. If you misplace this ID number, you can search for it by visiting https://epoch.com. You will be taken to a page where you may search for your subscription.

Billing options for your sites

For Merchants:

Epoch offers multiple Billing Options for Multiple Business Models

Epoch has billing options to fit your business needs.  Epoch.com specializes in subscription or membership billing but we also cater to different types of billing for digital content.

One Time Billing
You may charge your customer a one time charge for each individual sale.  This works well for a fixed length membership model or to sell specific amounts of content.  And your customer doesn't have to be concerned with recurring billing or cancelling a membership.

Recurring Billing
A monthly subscription model is a convenient billing method for certain membership sites.  Your customer is billed each month and can remain a member for as long as they want, or cancel at any time.

One Click Billing
For loyal customers who return to your site, we offer an option that allows you to make offers for additional services or content without the need to reenter their payment information.  Customers simply verify their wish to make the purchase and they are billed on the payment type used in their initial purchase.

Per Unit Billing
Per unit billing is great for sites that sell credits or minutes for access to content.  If you need to sell units we can easily accommodate you.

Contact Epoch today to learn more about the many options we can provide for your sites.

Epoch.com offers answers to frequently asked questions about purchases, memberships, passwords and much more. Should you have any further questions, please consult our contact us page.

What is billing support?  Billing support provides customer service for thousands of websites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may contact us for all billing inquiries, technical problems with accessing/viewing website content, password assistance or just to cancel your membership.

What is a member id? A member id is a unique identifying number that corresponds to the membership that you have purchased. You will receive your member id immediately after the purchase of a membership via the email address that you provided on the payment page. You should always maintain a record of your member id and should use this number in any correspondence with a billing support representative. With this number a billing support representative can view your membership history, the time it was purchased, the charges made, as well as the payment information used for the purchase.

I don't remember my password. How can I retrieve it? If you require a password to access a website for which you have purchased a membership, you may use our purchase finder to retrieve it. Your password was also emailed to you at the time of the purchase. If your password has ceased working please use the purchase finder to refresh it.

How do I cancel my membership? Please use the "Find My Purchase" to cancel a membership. You will receive an email to the address you entered upon purchase confirming that your membership has been canceled and that you will no longer be billed. If you cannot use the form due to insufficient information, please contact us so we can locate your membership and cancel it.

I already canceled my membership. Why did I get billed again? Please check your email for a confirmation of the canceled membership. It will verify the final date and amount you were billed.

Can I reactivate my canceled membership? In some cases it may be reactivated. Often times it is easier to simply place another order at the same website. Please contact us, if you would like the membership to be reactivated.

I only purchased a trial membership. Why are you still billing me? All trial memberships convert to monthly memberships if not canceled within the specified trial period. Please check the terms and conditions of the website from which you have purchased a trial membership to verify the trial period and the recurring billing process.

Can I view information on the membership that I purchased? Yes, enter information into any 2 fields of the "Find My Purchase" page.

I was issued a credit. How long will it take for a credit to appear on my statement? It may take up to 5 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.

What happens if my credit card expires (will expire soon) or my credit card number has changed? Please contact a billing support representative with the information that needs updating.

What happens if my billing address, email address, or other contact information has changed? Please contact a billing support representative with your member id and your new information and we will update your information within 24 hours. You will receive an email confirming the update.

Why was my credit card / debit card declined?
There could be a number of reasons why your card was declined. Please use a different card to place the order or contact a billing support representative, if you have additional questions.

What payment options does Epoch accept? Epoch accepts all major credit, debit cards and popular alternative payment methods used worldwide.

Will the website I purchased appear on my statement? No, your statement will not show the name of the website. Epoch.com is the merchant that will appear on your statement.

I have a question which has not been answered. What do I do? If you have any further questions, please contact a billing support representative.

How do I know that my online transactions are safe?

When making an online purchase, you want assurances that your transaction is safe.  There are a couple of things you need to look for when making your purchase to ensure that the data transfer is encrypted so that it cannot be used by anyone other than the intended merchant.  At the very least the site must use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates.  This is easy to verify as the URL will begin with https:// instead of http:// (note the "s" on the secure site).  Most browsers will also display a locked padlock icon.

A second item to look for is known as as the Extended Validation Certificate (EV).  This serves to show an extended level of validation of the site and appears before the URL in the browser in green lettering or shading with the sites domain name.

More information about the sites level of security can be obtained by clicking the EV text.  For example, on the Epoch site you will receive the following information:   Epoch uses High-grade Encryption (Camellia-256, 256 bit keys).

Finally, be sure you are using an experienced payment service provider.  Epoch has been processing transactions since 1996 and security of data is our number one job.  You can be assured that your transactions with Epoch utilize the highest levels of security available anywhere.
