MasterCard is an American multinational financial services corporation headquartered in the MasterCard International Global Headquarters in New York. Its principal business is to process payments between the banks of merchants and the card issuing banks (or credit unions) of the purchasers who use the "MasterCard" brand.
Since it's debut in 1966 as Master Charge, the MasterCard brand has expanded worldwide and is accepted at over 25 million locations. MasterCard has issued more than 632 million cards worldwide.
